The Lebanese Red Cross were attending to minimally affected patients in Beirut on Thursday following two deadly explosions that took place on Tuesday.
Medical personnel assessing a swollen ankle and treating a few patients in the Red Cross station could be seen, as rescue efforts closer to the port were underway.
Many countries and non-governmental organisations have sent humanitarian aid, medical equipment, including specialists, food and clothing to Beirut over the last two days to help the city’s residents.
Tuesday's blasts are thought to have been caused by the still unexplained ignition of 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, a highly explosive chemical material which was reportedly stored without precautionary measures at the port, according to Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab.
Results of an investigation into the causes of the explosion are expected to be released in the next five days. The explosions killed at least 137 people, injured thousands and have left hundreds of thousands homeless.
