Beirut explosion: Trump says U.S. sending medical supplies, emergency re...

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said he had spoken with Lebanese President Michel Aoun earlier in the day to inform him three large aircraft were "on the way" to bring medical supplies, food and water to the city, adding emergency responders were also heading to Beirut.

Trump called the incident an "event like the world has not seen for a long time."

The president said he'd be having a conference call on Sunday with French President Emmanuel Macron, leaders of Lebanon and others around the world who want to help.
