How Far Can a Sneeze Travel?
We all know sneezes and coughs spread germs, but did you ever wonder how far those tiny droplets can go? Our producer suited up and wore a protective face mask to find out first hand! After running a demonstration, our investigation found that the droplets of fluid released when you cough or sneeze might go a lot farther than you thought. Dr. Jack Caravanos, a professor of environmental public health at NYU, says that in an office, sneezes can sometimes reach eight desks away!
