Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will speak in the House of Commons on Saturday as the government attempts to pass the COVID-19 wage subsidy bill. Trudeau is expected to speak at approx. 12:15pm ET.

Trudeau calls the wage subsidy bill the largest economic measures Canada has seen since the Second World War.

On Friday, Trudeau gave more details of the Canada Emergency Business Account (CERB), which would provide small businesses struggling with the ability to get a $40,000 interest-free loan through a bank or credit union. He said if it is paid back within two years, 25 per cent or up to $10,000 is forgivable.
